Series 15 Special Event Liquor License

Special Event Liquor Licenses are processed in a similar manner as other liquor license applications, except that there are no posting or protest period requirements, and no school location restrictions. These licenses permit the sale of all spirituous liquor for consumption on the licensed premises. The special event license can be issued to a political party or campaign committee supporting a candidate for public office or a ballot measure, or a nonprofit entity that is organized as a nonprofit corporation, limited liability company, trust or other entity in this state or pursuant to the laws of another state that is eligible for designation as a nonprofit entity under section 501(c) of the internal revenue code of the United States. The nonprofit entity shall demonstrate that it is in good standing in this state. Qualifying organizations will be granted a special event license for no more than ten (10) days per calendar year. The State places primary emphasis on the City's recommendation in deciding whether or not to issue these licenses.

Financial Impact

The application and license fees have been paid.
