Body

Item Summary

Lucity is an asset management software system in use by the City since 2008.  Currently, Public Works, Airport and Recreation Services actively utilize the system to manage their service operations. This type of software provides tools to manage and report on assets (physical objects), record work performed on those assets (preventative maintenance and break/fix work), create a physical inventory of goods, perform staff scheduling and coordination, and resource mapping through GIS integration which ties assets to attribute sets and location.  Asset management systems are also used to manage and track costs to maintain an asset over its production lifecycle.

Lucity is comprised of a number of modules and these modules are used by several City departments to facilitate service delivery.  In addition, Lucity is used by a number of municipalities within Arizona, so opportunities commonly come up to view real time demonstrations of how partner agencies have solved business-level challenges using Lucity for a given type of service.
