Approval of this item will award a contract for the purchase of Michelin Tires utilizing the City of Mesa’s Contract No. 2019209.

 

Background

 

The Fleet Services Division routinely purchases Michelin Tires for various City vehicles. In order to comply with the City’s Procurement Code, and based upon the total annual amount spent for aftermarket parts, a contract is required.

 

Having access to the various suppliers through this contract will help to improve the Fleet Services Division’s efficiency, parts inventory management, customer service, and will provide cost savings to the City.

 

The initial term of the contract shall be through November 30, 2024. The contract may be extended based on renewal from the City of Mesa and with the mutual consent of the City of Prescott and the vendor. The City may administratively extend the contracts pursuant to this paragraph without City Council Approval.

 

Financial Impact

 

Funding is available in the Fleet Maintenance budget.
